Poetry and fiction have been spaces for lesbic expression in Mexico with works of outstanding quality. Their themes and characters seek to rebel against heteronormative literature and question patriarchal roles. The work of these writers is a great legacy in literary tradition that deserves to be given exposure. Some examples of this are: Infinita (1992) by Ethel Krauze, La muerte alquila un cuarto (1991) by Gabriela Ráfagas, as well as Artemisa Téllez and Odette Alonso’s production among many others.
