Fiona J. Mackintosh es Senior Lecturer de Literatura Latinomericana en la Universidad de Edimburgo, y tiene un PhD en Literatura Comparada de la Universidad de Warwick. Tradujo, junto con Iona Macintyre, Las aventuras de la China Iron que fue finalista del prestigioso premio Booker Prize 2020, y publicada en inglés por Charco Press, editorial independiente fundada por Carolina Orloff.
Dr Fiona J. Mackintosh is a Senior Lecturer in Latin American Literature at the University of Edinburgh and has a PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Warwick. She specializes in women’s writing and has translated The Other Book by Luisa Valenzuela, poetry by Esteban Peicovich and has published articles on Silvina Ocampo, Alejandra Pizarnik, and Alicia Kozameh. Currently, she is working on the novels of Claudia Piñeiro. With Iona Macintyre, she translated Gabriela Cabezón Camara’s novel The Adventures of China Iron (Charco Press, 2019), which was shortlisted for The 2020 International Booker Prize, and was published by the independent publishing house, Charco Press, founded by Carolina Orloff.
